The displacement caused by fire and water damage can be astoundingly awful. Connecticut Reconstruction Services makes sure that you have the peace of mind that comes with being in control.
In this case a stove fire scorches a kitchen, leaving the rest of the structure intact. The challenge in this situation is to mitigate the extensive odor and soot throughout the rest of the structure. Working with our mitigation partners at Servpro, we cleaned the otherwise undamaged contents of the home and removed all residual odor.
Here are some photos from past residential jobs we've completed.
This unit suffered a water loss from a burst pipe in the wall. Because of common walls and shared infrastructure, rapid repair and mitigation are crucial to limit the extent of the water damage. We can remove lower sections of drywall panels and also laminated wood flooring boards to facilitate the drying process. Our skilled construction team can then hang new drywall and install a matching wood floor, making this condo apartment "Even Better Than Before."
The New Haven homeowner was extremely pleased with the appearance of her new wood flooring. We worked with our customer and her insurance company to replace the water damaged laminated flooring with a superior product. The Photos depict the baseboard trim removed for installation as the varying widths and lengths of boards provide an elegant look. Skilled craftsmen, even covering the doorway to the kitchen to prevent dust circulation, make our reconstruction company a local favorite. Once the molding is back in place, it really is “Even Better Than Before.”
Our customer desired a fresh look to her home and opted to invite our crack team to make it happen. We carefully remove the baseboards to ensure a neat and snug line — no “short cuts” to our detail-oriented installation. We have leading-edge equipment to join the planks onto a flat and stable surface. Our carpenters can secure new plywood sheathing as that solid base for the new flooring.
The stacked contents are in this dining room of a Hartford 3-family house that is ready for a major cleanup and facelift. Our reconstruction crew is very versatile and proceeded to remove the items to a staging area on the first floor. The after photo tells the entire story of our efforts with one visual! The hardwood flooring, hidden by the old carpet, was sanded and refinished to an "Even Better Than Before" look. The paint job, in the now popular gray tones, was the final touch to making our customers very excited about their updated and fresh home.
Our multi-talented restoration and reconstruction team can handle a significantly fire-damaged house from cleanup through final reconstruction. We can demolish and remove all charred debris, secure the access to the property with a plywood board up service, and hang new drywall in the garage. The exterior boasts new siding, making this house once again a home.
These Photos depict the precise “flood cuts” that our skilled construction crew performed. This finished basement was flooded, and the groundwater wicked into the decorative plywood paneling, the 1/2" drywall, and the paper-faced batt insulation. Our carpentry skills minimized the removal of building elements, which meant that during the rebuilding stage, less material and labor would be needed.
The hardwood flooring in this bedroom was a solid oak tongue and groove material that required a dry, flat subfloor for a lasting appearance. SERVPRO provided the water damage restoration service. Our team then laid down a section of new OSB oriented strand board to stabilize the floorboards, which guaranteed a stable feel and completed the job with precise trim work.
The baseboard install in this finished basement topped off another fine effort from our construction team. We have the tools and the skilled manpower to ensure a perfect installation, seamless, and without any blemishes. The completion Photo illustrates why our customer was pleased with his restored and renovated finished basement.
The fittings between the copper and PVC pipes failed and spewed water onto the floor of this mechanical room in a Hastings-on-Hudson unit. The floorboards show the water damage by the drain. Our construction techs removed the non-salvageable boards along with a sheetrock 2-foot flood cut. After repairing the plumbing lines, we can then proceed to reconstruct the damaged area. Our client in Brandford was excited about the whole house rehab provided by our CRS crew. This Connecticut Sound Shoreline property living quarters area needed a minimum 8-foot elevation to comply with the FEMA Flood Plain requirements. We committed to planning and executing the rehabilitation within the allotted budget and construction schedules. The slide show illustrates the comprehensive work from demolition to rebuilding the structure. The Photo from the shoreline facing the backyard exemplifies the transformation of this house into a magnificent home. The interior renovations illustrate why our seasoned craftsmen provide our clients with the house of their dreams.
In Hollis, a Wind and Rain Storm uprooted a large hickory tree that fortunately missed most of the house. The car was spared, but not so much the white picket fence. Our CRS crew responded quickly with chainsaws to remove the limbs that were damaging the vinyl clapboard siding and window trim. We cut back "Old Hickory," much to the relief of our customers. We can repair the slight structural and cosmetic damage to this high two-story home.
Your home is an expression of who you are. When your home is broken, you feel broken. You may even feel out of control. CRS will put you back in command and before you know it, you will feel even better than before.
